Toledo Celtics Soccer Club has been part of the Toledo community since 1987 and works to enhance the game of soccer for youth in the greater Toledo area. The club offers travel/club soccer, the Leprechauns recreational soccer program, and the Toledo Celtics Academy, a fall/winter/spring training program for novice players u10 and younger that covers dribbling, ball mastery, passing, and shooting. Academy sessions are directed by the club's directors and youth staff and coached by collegiate players from the University of Toledo women's varsity and Lourdes University men's varsity programs. Summer offerings include a Club Camp for players u15 and younger and a City Camp (free for Toledo residents, pre-school through 8th grade), both at Schneider Soccer Complex. The club hosts The Toledo Cup tournament, runs mid-season tryouts, and lists financial aid resources; its site references GotSport requirements and PlayMetrics for player registration. Winter academy sessions run at the club's indoor facility on Airport Hwy in Toledo.
