Brazilian Soccer Academy LLC, presented on its site as Moreira Brazilian Futsal and Soccer Academy, is a Pittsburgh-area training academy based at 116 2nd St. in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, owned and directed by Alessandro Moreira, a native of Brazil and former professional player. The academy offers futsal teams, year-round camps and clinics (outdoors in spring, summer and fall, with futsal or turf soccer in winter), small group training, and private training. Its futsal season runs October through March and typically includes weekly training sessions and 8 games, with practices at PISA and area gyms such as Pine-Richland Youth Center, Pine Community Center, and North Allegheny-area sites. BSA states its futsal program does not replace or compete with players' clubs, operating primarily during winter and summer when premier clubs and travel programs are not in activity, and draws players from clubs and travel clubs across the region. Camps are held at the North Park Sports Wildwood Bubble in Allison Park and the North Allegheny Marshall School Fields in Wexford, and Blackhawk-area coed camps are held in partnership with BASA on Blackhawk-area fields; camp sessions are open to boys and girls ages 7-15, grouped by age and ability.
