About
Founded in 2008, Lancaster Inferno began in the Women's Premier Soccer League, joined United Women's Soccer as a founding team in 2016, and acquired a USL W League franchise in 2023; the First Team debuted in the USL W League in 2024 and reached the playoffs in its inaugural season. The club describes itself as the only all-girls travel soccer club in Pennsylvania providing a player pathway from youth to pre-professional, spanning U9-U19 youth travel teams under the Lancaster Inferno FC banner, a U19 USL Academy team, a U23 team, and the USL W League side. More than 22 players have gone on to sign professional contracts. The Inferno was acquired in 2014 by the Cleaves family; Inferno Soccer Corp is an approved 501(c)(3) non-profit headquartered in Landisville, PA. Since 2025 the club has been based at Kramer Field, an outdoor turf venue in Lititz, PA. Summer programming includes girls' skills camps, high school and college training programs, a Summer Select program, and a 7v7 women's summer league. Medical staff is provided by the Sports Medicine team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
