About
Shaler Soccer Club is a family-oriented club providing organized soccer at the developmental, recreational, and competitive levels for players ages 2-19, organized into four segments: In-House programs (Lil-Kickers U4 through U5-U8), an In-House League (U7/U8), Travel Soccer (U09 to Varsity) playing within the Districts of Western PA, and USYS TOPSoccer for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities. The fall season runs August through November and the spring season March through June. In-house programs operate from Denny Field in Pittsburgh, while travel U9/U10 plays primarily at Fawcett Field in Glenshaw, with away games in the North District of Western Pennsylvania. Travel training includes two nights per week, one of them an academy-style session taught by a licensed instructor. Additional programming includes UGKA goalkeeper training, Junior Referee training, casual pick-up games, and summer foot-skills sessions, and the club runs on the Crossbar platform. Starting Fall 2026 the club follows US Youth Soccer's new school-year age group matrix (August 1 - July 31). A volunteer family-discount program (50-100% registration discounts, effective June 2026) supports its parent-volunteer model; the club also enforces PA West District goal-differential guidelines and holds its Annual General Meeting each November.
